JAMMU, Sept 16: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force organised a two days Kho–Kho competition at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Thanamandi, which concluded here today.
The playersfor the teams were selected from Thanamandi, Azmatabad, Shahdara and Rajdhani villages of Thanamandi area.
The sports competition was inaugurated by Manzoor Ahmad Gani, Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School Thanamandi.
In his address, Principal said that the aim of organizing such matches was to promote sports in the region and create an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
He also thanked the Indian Army for their whole hearted support in conducting the event. Salim Raina, Sports Secretary, Thanamandi extended his full support in organizing the event.
Prizes were distributed by the chief guest among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion
