RAJOURI, July 13: Activists of Pardesh Youth Congress (PYC) accorded a rousing reception to the newly elected Vice president Pranav Shagotra and Dr. Rashid Choudhary former state president NSUI and State general secretary Youth Congress who made the first visit of the district after PYC elections.
A large number of PYC activists received the PYC leaders Pranav Shogatra and Dr. Rashid Choudhary at Salani bridge by garlanding them profusely. Later, PYC leaders were brought to the Dak Banglow Rajouri, in the shape of a procession. Along the way, the activists danced to the tunes of drum beats and celebrated the appointment of Shagotra and Dr. Rashid Choudhary as vice president and general secretary, respectively.
An interaction session was organised with elected booth level delegates of the four assembly segments of district Rajouri. The elected office bearers of AYCs also participated in the interaction. The PYC leaders noted the problems of the delegates and assured them of due support and projection of their problems with the concerned authorities.
Addressing gathering Pranav expressed his deep sense of gratitude to Rahul Gandhi, general secretary Ms Meenakshi Natrajan AICC secretary, and to Rajiv Satav, National president IYC. He said that he will leave no stone unturned to project the cause of youth of the state and to get justice to them. He urged the PYC activists to work with discipline and dedication to get success and promotion in PYC.
Dr. Rashid said that grave discrimination is being meted out to the people of Rajouri, Poonch. The region have been ignored for a long and now the local elected Youth Congress leaders will change the scenario.
