Royal Cricket Club wins T20 Tournament

RAJOURI, Apr 9: Royal Star Cricket Club lifted the title trophy of the T20 Tournament, organized as part of Civic Action Programme to harness the talent of local youth in different sports activities by District Police Rajouri, here.
Eight teams of different parts of Rajouri District participated in the Tournament and in the final, Royal Cricket Club defeated Eleven Star Cricket Club by 14 runs.
After winning the toss, Royal Cricket Club decided to bat first and made 144 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Firdos Dar top scored with 43 runs in just 16 balls, while Sonu Bhat of Eleven Star Cricket Club took 3 wickets in four overs.
In reply, Eleven Star Cricket Club was bundled out for 130 runs to lose the match by 14 runs. Sunny scored 23 runs off 15 balls while Sumit of RCC took 4 wickets in four overs. Mr Gulbas was declared man of the series for his 7 wickets, while man of the match was given to Firdos Dar.
On this occasion, Deepti Uppal, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri was the chief guest, while Additional DC Saleem Malik, was the guest of honour.
Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri, Addl SP Hqrs. Rajouri,Tejinder Singh, DySP Operations, Iftikhar  Ahmed and Dy.SP Hqrs, Hamid Choudhary and DySP DAR Naresh Kumar Chib were present on the occasion.
DC Rajouri distributed the trophies among the winners and runners up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the role of Rajouri Police for providing an opportunity to the local youth in exhibiting their talent in various sports activities.
