NEW DELHI: Niche bike maker Royal Enfield today launched ‘Himalayan’, an all-terrain 411 cc motorcycle, in the capital, priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (on road, New Delhi).
The company, which is the two-wheeler arm of Eicher Motors, has introduced the model in Delhi after the state transport department agreed to register new models of two-wheelers compliant with Bharat Stage (BS)-III emission norms launched in the capital prior to April 1.
Himalayan is available in two signature colour options- Granite and Snow and is open for bookings across all Royal Enfield dealerships across Delhi, the company said in a statement.
“The timing of the launch in Delhi could not have been better as all motorcycling enthusiasts in the region start frequenting the hills post Holi. We are very confident that with its simple design and versatile performance, the Himalayan will inspire confidence amongst the amateur motorcyclists,” Royal Enfield President Rudratej Singh said.
At the same time, seasoned riders will appreciate the motorcycle’s purpose-built features and attributes in terrains that have inspired the Himalayan, he added.(Agencies)
