Royal Enfield to introduce new variant with 525 cc engine

CHENNAI, Apr 30: Motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield will introduce a new variant “Continental-GT” equipped with a 525 cc engine by year end, a top company official said today.
“We are planning to introduce the Continental-GT by year-end…” Eicher Motors Ltd., Managing Director and CEO, Siddhartha Lal told reporters here, after rolling out the first motorcycle from its second manufacturing plant at Oragadam near here.
Lal, responding to a query, said, “we are looking at introducing Continental-GT with a 525 cc engine to be produced from this (Orgadam) facility”.
Royal Enfield, part of Eicher Motors Ltd, currently retails Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird models equipped with 350 cc and 500 cc displacements. The company operates through 11 stores and 250 dealers across the country. The company also exports to 40 countries including USA, Japan and United Kingdom. (PTI)
