I would like to request J&K State Govt to sanction Religious Pilgrimage Development Authority for Sudhmahadev-Mantalai (RPDA). It is well known fact that entire Sudhmahadev -Mantalai belt of Tehsil Chenani is known throughout J&K State for its rich religious pilgrims heritage as most sacred Lord Shiva Temples and Shrines of great importance for the Hindus are located here.
It has ancient temples at Sudhmahadev, Gouri-Kund, Gou-Karan, Mandir-Dushala, Talad-Soo, Haridwar, Budhi-Shudhi, Budda-Kedarnath, Sheetla Mata Temple Kossar and Mal Devi Temple at Sudhmahadev.
It is very painful to write that more than half of these sacred places are not connected by a road till now. People from J&K State and Punjab visit these places on foot for Panjtirthi and other religious events throughout the year. It is therefore requested that one religious Pilgrimage Development Authority for Sudhmahadev-Mantalai may be sanctioned because single Development Agency can do better and approach of multiple agencies does much harm than anything good on the ground. Apart from Religious pilgrimage the area can be a better tourist spot as well and can charge the destiny of its people like Katra, if proper attention is paid by the Govt. Such is the importance of this area that if once visited the tourists will surely come again for the blessing of God and also to enjoy Natural beauty of this land. Take example of Swami Dherandra Brahamchari, who came just for one day visit and later lived and died at this place. So separate Independent Development Authority be sanctioned for this place.
