KISHTWAR, Apr 19: RPHQ Premier League T20 tournament in the memory of the martyrs of J&K Police was inaugurated by Kishtwar Police on the directions of Deputy Inspector General of Police of Doda-Kishtwar Range, Dr Sunil Gupta, here today.
SSP Shafqat Hussain Batt accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police Rajinder Singh and other officers inaugurated the T20 Range Cricket Premier League at Chowgan Ground, here.
The first match of the tournament was played between Asrariya Club Kishtwar and Kishtwar Nights.
SSP Shafqat Hussain Batt welcomed all the dignitaries and thanked all the players of different teams participating in the tournament and citizens who came to witness the inaugural match. “This tournament provides an opportunity to pay tribute and homage to the brave officers and jawans of the Police,” he said.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is proud of its martyrs who sacrificed their lives and illuminated the name of force and country while protecting people and the nation.
