JAMMU, July 25: Katra police today fined 14 persons for not wearing masks in the holy town in violation of the guidelines issued by the Union Territory Government and the district administration of Reasi.
Katra police launched the drive to ensure that the people wear the masks to defeat COVID pandemic.
Rs 7000 worth fine was imposed on 14 persons for not wearing the masks, Additional SP Katra Amit Bhasin said.
He added that the drive will continue.
Besides Bhasin, SDPO Katra Kuljeet Singh and SHO Katra Inspector Sunil Sharma joined the drive.
