Rs 72.5 cr sanctioned for CUJ development

Jammu, July 17: With his personal initiatives, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu (CUJ), Prof Ashok Aima has managed huge funds for the development of the University.
The Vice Chancellor has not only managed funds for academic activities but also got funds for the development of the campus. It is all due to the personal initiative and intervention of the Vice Chancellor that a whopping fund of Rs 7.5 crore has been sanctioned for Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Prestigious Chair under MHRD for Teacher training and higher education of the university.
It’s pertinent to mention here that only few Universities like Central University of Jammu and Banaras Hindu University in the country received the grant under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Prestigious Chair.
Similarly, Vice Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima personally took the issue with the UGC authorities and managed an amount worth Rs 15 crore for the boundary wall of the campus. Furthermore, Vice Chancellor also effectively took up the matter to provide better facilities to the students and it was all due to his initiatives that Rs 50 crore over and above has been sanctioned by UGC for 100 seater boys and girls hostel at main Campus Baghla.
