Rudra Abhishek Yagya begins at Ranbireshwar Temple

JAMMU, July 10: With the blessings of Lord Shiva, a 40-day long Shri Rudra Abhishek Yagya began today at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple.
The Yagya was being organized by Hawan Mandli and Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee. The Yagya started with Pooja performed by the Ex-president, Bar Association, Jammu and senior Congress leader, Advocate MK Bhardwaj, along with other members. Total 11 Pandits are performing the Pooja.
While giving details of the Yagya, president of Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee, Onkar Sharma said that the main purpose of this 40-day long Yagya is to pray for peace and prosperity of the country especially Jammu and Kashmir State.
He said that this is not the first time that such a Yagya is being performed; devotees have been organizing Rudra Abhishek Yagya in the temple premises for the last 10 years. He said that the Yagya will continue upto Raksha Bandhan and till then Bhandara will be organized everyday in the temple premises.
He also informed that on July 17 at 9.30 AM SRMWC is installing a new idol of Bhagwan Nandi Ji in the temple premises and all Jammuites are invited to take part in the function to take blessings of Lord Shiva.
