JAMMU, July 9: “It is very sad that people who were ruling India since independence have neglected the most important public utility system, the railways which is the backbone of India’s biggest transport network in the world”.
This was stated by former Minister and president, NCP Randhir Singh in a statement issued here today.
He added that all the Railway Ministers have benefitted their States particularly their Parliamentary constituencies with very poor vision. Railways have been run by so called Ministers and have ignored the biggest transport system in the world, he added.
“How the new Railway Minister fulfills the dream which he presented in the Lok Sabha keeping in view the length and breadth of this great country”, he said.
When Minister said the train fare will continue to rise with the rise of diesel oil, Singh said it will be very difficult that Indian train users will get cheaper railway journey.
Singh said Railways is the backbone of our economy which is geographically ignored by the Railway Minister by ignoring Ladakh and Poonch.
He said India needs bullet trains to connect all the important cities of India with preference to far-flung areas where people have not seen the trains.
