KATHUA, July 2: To inform the officers about the difficulties being faced by them, a delegation comprising the Residents Welfare Committee (RWC) of J&K Housing Board Colony, Kathua called on the Managing Director of J&K Housing Board, Jammu, Ashish Kumar Gupta, here today.
The delegation was led by its President, Dr. Shashi Pal Singh.
Dr. Singh highlighted the legal issues affecting the development of Housing Colony Kathua and urged for the swift resolution of land disputes to prevent any hindrance to developmental works.
The other issues included, the need for macadamisation of internal roads, provision of water and electricity to underserved areas, development of parks, construction of colony gates, establishment of a police post, completion of fencing work and the construction of a commercial and recreational complex within the colony, Development of Housing colony on modern line, were also raised during the meeting.
Managing Director, Gupta patiently listened to the grievances and assured the delegation to address their issues, aiming to transform the colony into a model colony.
He also promised to visit the Housing Colony, Kathua over the weekend to directly assess the situation on the ground.
