Saatvik adjudged best speaker in debate

UDHAMPUR,  Feb 7: Tehsil Information Centre, Ramnagar organized a debate contest on the topic “Does Modern Life Make People Unhealthy” in the premises of Bhartiya Vidya  Mandir High School Ramnagar, here today.
Principal of the host School, Vishal Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
As many as 16 students of the institution participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.
Saatvik Kudyar  has adjudged best speaker in the contest while  Nikhil Parshad  and Anjali Thakur  bagged second and third positions respectively in the contest. Two consolation prizes were also given to Ankit Thakur and Akshita Bhagat. The participants were awarded prizes and certificates of merit.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of Information Department for organizing such programmes in educational institutions for the benefit of the students. He called for holding such more programmes in educational institutions so that maximum students could take part and express their views on diverse issues.
Sheetal Gupta, Shevata Singh and Sunita Sharma acted as judges of the contest.
Among others, Incharge Tehsil Information Center, Ramnagar, Rakesh Kumar, prominent citizens, staff and students were presents on the occasion.
