UDHAMPUR, Sept 4: Safai Karamchari Union held a protest demonstration and demanded redressal of their demands at the earliest.
Safai Karamcharis gathered in front of the office of Municipal Committee and raised slogans against the Government for redressing their demands.
They were demanding regularization of all Safai Karamchari, who were engaged as casual labours, daily wagers and contractual, against the vacant posts.
Addressing the gathering, president of the union, Kaka Hussain told that after Government’s assurance, they suspended their 22 days long strike.
He added that, till date their demands are not redressed by the Government, compelling them to resume their suspended strike.
