POONCH, Sept 23: Safai Karamcharis of Municipal Committee and local District Hospital and other members of Christian community residing in Poonch have joined hands to launch strike and protest.
The Safai staff of MCP is on strike for the last four days. The city has turned into large dustbin as large heaps of garbage have scattered all around. There is foul smell in every lane, main market and Sabzi Mandi. The people are facing lot of sanitation problems. The agitating people are demanding that land for graveyard be allotted to Christian community as the present graveyard near river Poonch washed away in floods recently. Their protest dharna continued on the 4th consecutive day in the MCP complex.
