JAMMU, Oct 2: Safran CC defeated Jagti Orientals CC by 183 runs and Tulmul Tigers trounced Sharika CC by 11 runs in the ongoing runs Kashmiri Pandits Cricket League (KPCL), organised by Safran Cricket Club in collaboration with 3M Home Water Filtration at KC Sports Club, here.
In the first, Safran Cricket Club scored 246 runs by losing 6 wickets wherein Rohan Koul made outstanding century in 43 balls with the help of 11 fours and nine sixes. Deepak Koul made half century while Rohit Koul, Aayush Bhat and Sarthak Khoda contributed 38, 24 and 7 (not out) runs respectively. Vikas Pandita, Ankit Pandita, Ravi Pandita and Vishal Tickoo clinched 1 wicket each for Jagti Orientals.
In reply, Jagti Orientals bundled out on 63 runs by losing all wickets. Rahul Bhat and Sagar Tickoo made 16 and 12 runs respectively. Sanchit Dass bagged 5 wickets, Ritik Jotshi clinched 3 wickets and Praful Dhar got 2 wickets for Safran CC.
Rohan Koul was declared as Man of Match for Safran Cricket Club.
In second match, Tulmul Tigers made 176 runs by losing 6 wickets. Rahul Raina made 42 runs, while Vinod Bhat and Mohit Koul contributed 40 and 24 runs respectively. For Sharika CC, Amit Wali bagged 3 wickets, Rajeev Pandita clinched 2 wickets and Vivek Suri succeeded to bag 1 wicket.
Chasing the target, Sharika CC scored only 162 runs by losing five wickets in stipulated overs. Ankush Dhar made 85 runs while Anil Bushan and Vicky Raina made 30 and 18 runs respectively. Sahil Raina succeeded to clinch 2 wickets and Rishab Raina and Vimal Raina clinched 1 wicket each for Tulbul Tigers.
Ankush Dhar was adjudged with Man of the Match award for Sharika CC.
