Sagar reviews status of litigations pending in courts

SRINAGAR, July 17: Stressing on the officers to properly project the view point of the Government before various courts, the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that the same in accessory for speedy and early disposal of litigations.
The Minister was speaking during a series of meetings convened to discuss the status of various litigations pending in different courts. Advocate General,  M.I. Qadri, Commissioner Secretary, Law, G. H. Tantray and senior officers of different departments were present.
Mr. Sagar directed the officers to persue the pending court cases effectively by filing timely replies so that the view point of the Government is effectively projected. He said that there should be no untimely delay in the same as it leads to the unnecessary time loss.
He also directed the officers to maintain the status of various litigations pending, on a monthly basis so that these can be effectively monitored and necessary steps initiated for their disposal.
The Minister said that Government has initiated the necessary steps for upgradation of the judicial infrastructure across the state so that the people living in rural and far-flung areas get timely justice. He said that necessary instructions have also been passed to the concerned executing agencies to ensure that the same is constructed within the stipulated time frame.
