JAMMU, Aug 21: Senior Basketball Coach of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Aman Sharma has been nominated to the selection committee of the Basketball Federation of India.
Presently posted in STC Jammu, Sharma is the overall topper of the 29th course of the National Institute of Sports Patiala and is Grade-I Coach of the SAI.
During his illustrious career spanning over 25 years, Sharma has produced several players who played for the country and also won medals at the national level. He also has several international courses to his credit. He has a long experience of training Regimental Teams of the Army.
It is for the first time that a coach from the state has been nominated as national selector in Basketball.
Vikramaditya Singh MLC, president J&K Basketball Association has congratulated Sharma for his nomination to the national selection committee.
