JAMMU, Sept 4: First Independence Cup Kho Kho competition was organised by SIA Club Gadigarh in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Kho Kho Association and J&K Sports Council at Government Primary School for Boys at Gadigarh Jammu.
Rajinder Sharma, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest on this occasion. He said that the vision of the Prime Minister is to support and promote the sports in India especially the Indian traditional games such as Kho Kho, Kabbadi by organising “Khelo India” sports events every year.
He appreciated the organizers for providing a platform to the Kho Kho players by holding such types of Kho Kho competitions. The winning trophy was awarded to the SIA Club. Pawan Kumar, District President Kisan Morcha Jammu, ZEO planning Harvinder Kour, Principal Govt Primary School, Palvinder Singh General Secretary Parivartan Club , Tanmeet Raina Senior National Kho Kho player and Amrinderpaul Singh, General Secretary SAI Club and organizing Secretary and others were honoured by the chief guest.
