JAMMU, Apr 24: Sai Cricket Club and New Star Cricket Club registered victories over their rivals on the opening day of the T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Kashmiri Pandit United Coordination Committee at Jagti, here.
I the first match, Sai Cricket Club defeated Surinder Cricket Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, Surinder Club scored 83 runs in 16 overs. In reply, Sai Club chased the target in 15 overs by losing 4 wickets. Arvind Bakshi was adjudged as man of the match for his magnificent bowling display. He took 6 wickets in his 4 overs by conceding 12 runs.
In another match, New Star CC defeated White Cricket Club by 63 runs. New Star scored a big total of 178 runs in 20 overs, while White Cricket Club managed to score 115 runs. For New Star Cricket Club, Rohit and Rahul scored 33 runs each. Somail of New Star Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for taking 4 important wickets. Prominent among others present on the inaugural ceremony were Roshan Lal, Bansi Lal and Anu Ji.
