JAMMU, Oct 22: Outplaying Lions Cricket Club by 23 runs in the summit clash, formidable Sai Cricket Club Jagti lifted the title trophy of the Sharika Diagnostic IInd KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament, organized by Dream Cricket Club in association with KC Sports Club, under the supervision of Vicky Raina and Vikas at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Sai Cricket Club scored a decent total of 150 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Arvind top scored with 28 runs, while Ashu contributed 26 runs to the total. Ishan and Sonu chipped in with 20 runs each. For Lions Cricket Club, Ritik took 2 wickets, while Ashwani and Rakesh Koul claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Lions Cricket Club managed to score 127 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 23 runs. Former First-Class cricketer, Rakesh Koul played a brilliant innings of 46 runs off 30 balls, studded with 4 fours and one six, while Sarthak Peshin contributed 30 off 22 balls with the help of 7 magnificent boundaries. Though finishing on the losing side, both the batsmen played with fluidity, grace and brilliance. For Sai Cricket Club, skipper Mintu and Ashu took 2 wickets each. Munna of Sai Cricket Club swept special awards including man of the series, best batsman and best bowler.

Rodney Jones, Level-III Coach of England and Wales Cricket Board and Chairman of White Church Cricket Club was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
