JAMMU, Feb 8: Sai Shyam Educational Society Ghou-Manhasan, Jammu celebrated its Foundation Day today.
Balbir Lal Member District Development Counsel Block Marh was the chief guest and Ram Rakha Zonal Educational Officers Marh was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The programme started by lighting of traditional lamp followed by Sarswati Vandana.
Dr Usha Tickoo Principal Sai Shyam College of Education welcomed the guests and threw light on the history of this institution which came into existence on 8th February, 2001. She highlighted the achievements of College as well as Sai Shyam Public School during last 20 years.
The students of College of Education and Sai Shyam Higher Secondary Public School presented different cultural items which enthralled the audience.
Chief guest Balbir Lal stressed upon the local people to cooperate with the Management in order to fulfil their dream of educating the rural masses of this area.
Ram Rakha, ZEO Marh in his address was pleased to see that this Institution is extending its educational activities to the rural belt of Marh Block.
CL Tickoo Chairman of the Institution presented mementoes as token of honour to the chief guest as well as to the guest of honour.
The chief guest also felicitated the position holders of Class 8th and 10th of the Institution namely Kirti Choudhary, Suhani Choudhary, Sakshi Chib and Sneha Mehra.
Principal of the School Anita Ganjoo presented the vote of thanks.
The whole programme was anchored by Leenu Malla and Sapna Devi.
