Sail Valley tournament concludes at Majalta

UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: Senior, Junior and Sub-junior competitions in Cricket and Badminton, organized under Sail Valley tournament, concluded at Majalta, here today.
BJP Spokesperson, Ranbir Singh Pathania was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. While addressing the gathering of sports lovers, local people and sportsperson, Pathania said that sports make a complete man which educates the sportspersons how to work with a team spirit, how to plan a programme, coordinate and enact.
In the senior category, Shiv Shakti Cricket Club from Khoon won the tournament final. They set a target of 145 runs but Mansar Cricket Club while chasing it bundled out at a score of 100 runs only. Rajvir Singh remained man of the match, while Raj Kumar was declared man of the tournament.
In sub- junior level, Qureshi Cricket Club trounced Deot Cricket Club in the final match, while in individual events, Priya, Nitish Mankotia and other children excelled during the tournament.
Pathania further called for creating a Stadium at Samaga, S.K Ber with state of art facilities. He also declared a road from Sail to Samaga under PMGSY which shall start soon with a view to providing all weather connectivity to the Stadium as well as the area.
Rashpal Mankotia, chairman of the organizing committee, Mohan Lal Sharma Sarpanch, Ved Sharma, Sudesh, Baldev Mankotia, Charan Das, Mohan Lal and Kaku Ram were present during the closing ceremony.
Rashpal gave the formal vote of thanks to the dignitaries and other guests present during the event.
