JAMMU, Feb 13: Sainik Colony Football Club scripted an emphatic win over Baba Football Club by 6 goals to nil in the ongoing 1st Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Football Tournament, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Shaheen Football Club under the aegis of J&K Football Association (DFA Jammu) at GGM Science College Football Ground Jammu.
In the 2nd pre quarter final match, Sainik Colony FC defeated Baba FC. Kartik, Nove and Neeraj secured one goal each for the winning team in the first half of the game, while Mohit, Gagandeep Singh and Pardeep netted one each goal for Sainik Colony Football Club in the 2nd half of the game.
The chief guest of the event was Sat Sharma (Ex. MLA BJP), while guest of honour was Ajit Angral (Ex. Chairman JMC). They were accompanied by Kamaljeet Kumar (International Player), Rakesh Kumar (International Player), Rajesh Sumbria (JK Bank Academy Coach), Amarjeet Singh, David Masih, Yousaf Don, Ramesh Chander (Organizing Secretary and International Player), Showkat Khanyari, Rajinder Abrol, Ashok Sharma and Kuldeep Singh.
Vijay Club will lock horns with Shaheen FC tomorrow at 3 pm.
Ricky Kumar, Aman Sudan, Dil Bahadur and Dheeraj Meenia acted as referees of today’s match.
