JAMMU, Apr 5: Sainik School Nagrota hosted its annual programme for the academic year 2025-26 at the school’s iconic Drill Square. The event marked the formal induction of cadets into key leadership positions, an essential tradition in the school’s leadership development. The ceremony was attended by the school’s Principal, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, along with faculty members, parents, and cadets.
The occasion began with the formal pipping of the newly appointed leaders, a symbolic gesture carried out jointly by the Principal and the parents of the cadets. This act highlighted the collective responsibility of nurturing leadership. Each cadet took an oath to uphold the school’s values of discipline, integrity, and honor, core principles that define Sainik School Nagrota.
Cadet Stanzin Chosgyal was selected School Cadet Captain, while Cadet Saksham Verma was named School Sports Captain. Cadet Raghav Chib assumed the role of School Cadet Adjutant and Cadet Neatik Rajput became School Cultural Captain. Additionally, Cadet Angel Choudhary was appointed Girl Prefect, and Cadet Uday Kumar was named School Band Captain.
Principal Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia congratulated the newly appointed cadet leaders, urging them to lead by example. He also praised the parents for their role in shaping the values and aspirations of their children. The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, embodying the discipline and leadership qualities instilled at Sainik School Nagrota.
