Sainik School Nagrota organises workshop for J&K Board Teachers

JAMMU, Jan 12: The second phase of orientation workshop for teachers of Government Schools under Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education was organised by Sainik School Nagrota at the School Auditorium, which concluded here today.
The objective of the workshop was to enhance teaching skills and update the knowledge and awareness of teachers working in schools under J&K Board. 55 teachers from Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, RS Pura and Miran Sahib Zones participated in this workshop to enrich their profession competence.
Colonel Kapil Dev Koushal, Principal, Sainik School Nagrota formally inaugurated the 2-day workshop on January 11, 2016 and delivered an enlightening presentation on the topic ‘Challenges and Teaching Skills for 21st Century Educators’.
The workshop covered various topics including ‘Stress Management and How to be and Effective Teacher’ by Lt Col Deepak Singh Thakur, Vice Principal and “Basics of Human Behaviour” and “Self Motivation for Teachers” by Sqn Ldr Vipin Kumar Sharma, Administrative Officer of the School.
Representative from DIET, Jammu and AK Koul, DEPO were also present during the workshop.
Besides, lecture on “Effective Communication Skills and Classroom Management” were also delivered by the faculty of the School.
