JAMMU, Dec 16: As an annual feature, Sainik School Nagrota organised ex-students meet, in which large number of ex-students and their families participated.
The programme began with the school song presented by the school choir.
In his address, Group Captain Ajay Kumar, Principal mentioned that the school is taking rapid strides in producing excellent officers in the armed forces and in other walks of life as well.
He gave a resume of the achievements of the school during the past year including the successful conduct of All India Sainik Schools’ Inter Zonal Basketball Championship. He added that school quiz team won RBI Quiz Competition at State level.
Ajay Kumar also mentioned that a number of developmental works have been carried out in the school, which included complete renovation of Sindh House.
Randhir Singh Billawaria, Chairman, NEXAS, in his address assured all possible contribution for the progress of the school.
The annual get together was graced by many officers of the armed forces including Brigadier R Raina, 21 Sub Area Commander, KAS Officers and Doctors.
On the occasion, Aakash, an ex-student and a renowned artist exhibited his works in pencil sketch and photography in the school auditorium, which received appreciation from one and all.
Later, ex-students and families visited latest additions in the academic block such as Smart Classrooms, Mathematics lab, etc.
