Jammu, Nov 10: The third day of the 47th J&K UT Table Tennis Championships saw exhilarating matches across all categories, with top players displaying remarkable skill and determination. The tournament, which has brought together the best players from Jammu and Kashmir, is witnessing some thrilling contests as competitors fight for the titles.
In the Under-11 boys’ category, Saiyam Nischal emerged victorious, defeating Aarav Gandotra by 3-0. In the Under-13 boys’ semi-finals, Saiyam Nischal secured another win, beating Ahaan Anand by 3-1, and advanced to the final where he will face Advik Garg, who triumphed over Eshaan with a 3-1 scoreline.
The Under-11 girls’ final will be a repeat of the District Championships, with Syrah Dewan set to clash with Alena Arora for the title. In the Under-13 girls’ category, Myrah Dewan defeated Aditri by 3-0, Syrah Dewan overcame Rutba Jan by 3-0, Srishti Kapoor won by 3-0 against Sanvi Kundal, and Alena Arora beat Ridhimee by 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals.
In the Under-15 boys’ pre-quarter finals, Saiyam Nischal defeated Drityaman by 3-0, Adnan beat Arnav by 3-1, Samar Dev won by 3-0 against Viren, Gourav triumphed over Keshav by 3-0, and Ahaan beat Bhavesh by 3-1.
In the Under-15 girls’ quarter-finals, Myrah Dewan won by 3-0 against Hemanika, Gunjan defeated Syrah Dewan by 3-2; Arushika beat Srishti by 3-1, and Nitya won by 3-0 against Alena.
The Under-17 boys’ first round saw Hunny defeating Aquib by 3-0, Pranwat winning by 3-1 against Pranit, Arnav overcoming Dhiren by 3-1, Gourav beating Sabeer by 3-0, Satyam defeating Shabid by 3-0 and Wasim beat Anirudh by 3-2.
In the Under-17 girls’ quarter-finals, Myrah Dewan triumphed by 3-0 against Srishti, Nitya defeated Kritika by 3-0, Mishti won by 3-0 against Muskaan, and Arushika beat Hemanika by 3-0.
The tournament continues to provide action-packed moments, with matches being officiated by Gurvinder Singh, Meenu Ragesh, and Ankit Sharma.
