POONCH, Oct 12: District Badminton Championship, organized by TT Alfa Club at Government Boys Higher Secondary School concluded, here today.
In under-14 Singles, Saiyam emerged winner, while Soham secured runner-up positions, whereas in under-17 Singles, Amrinder and Burhan emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-14 Doubles, Saiyam and Krishan emerged winner, while Tandon and Jaskirat bagged runner-up position and in under-17 Doubles, Amrinder and Burhan clinched winner’s trophy, while Danish and Abhishek bagged runner-up position.
On the valedictory functions, Lieutenant Colonel CB Blawara was the chief guest, who awarded winners and runner-ups in presence of Sham Lal Sharma, retd SAI Hockey Coach, Daljeet Singh, Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Pawan Kumar, Fitness Trainer, BCCI NCA and JKCA.
The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh Toofan, Kewal Krishan, Harbans Singh and Matinder Singh.
The championship was organised under the overall supervision of Narinder Singh, Chairman, TT Alfa Club and Vijay Kumar, Secretary, TT Alfa Club.
