KATHUA, July 28: Additional Deputy Commissioner Basohli, Sanjay Gupta today paid surprise visit to Government Middle Schools Rein, Mandla and Kagroh besides Government Primary Schools Baloh, Kudera and Batara to review functioning of these institutions.
ADC interacted with the students and enquired about the facilities they are getting in their schools. He asked the teacher fraternity to encourage students understand the basic concepts of their subjects and impart quality education among them.
The school authorities apprised the ADC of shortage of drinking water and furniture in their respective schools.
The ADC asked the authorities to withhold the salary of the teachers who were found un-authorizedly absent and whose performance was not satisfactory. He further recommended action against DIET Basohli for not conducting any inspection for the past one year.
