Samaj Kalyan Kendra providing free education to 120 children

JAMMU, June 18: J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra is providing free formal and vocational education to nearly 120 boys and girls who are hearing and speech handicapped and belong to poor segment of society.
Many prominent citizens including reputed retired Government officers are actively associated with the organization and all the accounts and activities are kept and maintained in fair and transparent manner, said JK Vaid, general secretary of the Kendra.
He further said that Kendra was filing annual returns regularly with MHA till the financial year 2001- 2002 which was discontinued as no foreign donations were received. However, in response to MHA letter dated 3 December, 2014; audited accounts of the organization for the years 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 were submitted.
