JAMMU, Jan 18: Samar Cricket Club defeated Laxmi Cricket Club in an easy contest to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cup at KC School ground, here today.
Laxmi won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Laxmi Club bundled out for 101 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Paras and Nipun made 46 and 20 runs respectively. From Samar CC, Vishawjeet Singh and Deepak Dogra took 4 wickets each.
In reply, Samar CC chased the target in 13.5 overs by losing just one wicket. Jatin Wadhwan and Abdul Samad scored 53 and 36 runs respectively. From Laxmi Club, Sameer Khajuria took one wicket. Vishwajeet Singh was declared as the man of the match.
