Samar Club logs emphatic win in 2nd Christmas Cup

JAMMU, Mar 19: Samar Cricket Club trounced JKP XI by 41runs in the ongoing 2nd Christmas Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized jointly by the Range Police Headquarters Jammu and Christian Sports Organisation at KC Sports Club ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Samar Club scored 162 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Chamkor Singh (38), Monu Sharma (37) and Chetan Singh (27) were the main scorers. Vishal Singh Bhau was the pick of the bowlers for JKP XI, who scalped 4 important wickets, while Rompy bagged 2. Rajesh Gill and Shamsher Singh Manhas claimed one wicket each.
In reply, JKP managed to score 121 runs in the allotted overs, thus lost the match by 41 runs. Rompy Sharma, Amit Sharma and Farooq contributed 28,24 and 21runs respectively. Sourav was declared man of the match for his superb bowling display.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman and  Sadiq Hussain Malik as umpires, while Arun was the scorer.
