Samar thrashes Panther by 10 wkts

AKHNOOR, July 3: Samar Cricket Club thrashed Panther Cricket Club by 10 wickets to advance in the ongoing 5th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
Batting first, Panther Club bundled out for a paltry total of 67 runs in 16.3 overs. Sanjay, Sandeep and Sumit contributed 18, 16 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Ramdayal was the wrecker-in-chief for Samar Club, who scalped 3 important wickets, while Sourav and Monu claimed 2 wickets each. Hardeep Singh, Naushad Ali and Rohit claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Samar Club reached the target in just 6 overs without losing a wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Both the openers, Amrit Pal Singh and Hardeep Singh played superbly and remained unbeaten on 17-ball 33 runs and 20-ball 29 runs respectively.
The match was officiated by Joginder Mangotra and Sonu as umpires, while Ajay Bhagat was the scorer.
