SAMBA, Aug 10: The Yoga Association of Jammu & Kashmir (YAJK) organized the Samba District Yoga Sports Championship 2024 at Sunlight High School in Utterbehni. The event drew 125 participants from various institutions across the district, showcasing their skills and dedication to yoga.
Rajinder Pangotra, Principal of Sun Light High School, graced the event as the chief guest and presented medals and certificates to the outstanding performers. The championship was supervised by Mukesh Sharma and Aryaaveer Singh, National Referee and Judges of the Yoga Federation, ensuring a well-regulated and competitive atmosphere.
The results of the Championship highlighted exceptional performances across all age groups. In the 8-10 years category, Shreya Bhardwaj won first place among the girls, while Vishal Khokhar topped the boys’ category. For the 10-12 years age group, Brindha Sharma and Hitesh Pangotra were the top performers in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively. In the 12-14 years group, Prachi Sharma and Vinod Kumar achieved first place. The 14-16 years category saw Ankita Pangotra and Ayush Sharma as the winners. Arun Singh secured the top spot in the 16-18 years category.
