Samba Police establishes Gymnasium for youth

SAMBA, May 1: In order to bridge gap between Police and Public especially for reaching out to youth of the area and for channelizing their energies in constructive purpose rather than inclination towards Anti-National/Anti-Social activities, a Gymnasium under the name and style of ‘Police Martyrs Memorial Gymnasium” has been established in District Samba at Kehli Mandi, Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
Today the Gymnasium which is equipped with all types of fitness equipments brought from Jallandhar, was inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar, Inspector General of Police, Jammu in the presence of Shakeel Ahmed Beigh, DIG, Jammu-Kathua Range, Vijay Singh Sambyal, DIG IRP Jammu, Anil Magotra, Superintendent of Police, Samba, Commandant, IRP 17th Battalion, Samba and other officers of District Police Samba.
During the inaugural ceremony, IGP Jammu highlighted the purpose of opening the Gymnasium and intimated that youth is the future of the Nation and they have to use their energy in positive direction rather to indulge in Anti Social activities.
