Samba Police organizes ‘Run for Fun’

SAMBA, June 7: District Police Samba organized a District Level Marathon ‘Run for Fun’ under Civic Action Programme which began from Mansar Morh, Samba and culminated at DPL ground Shah Balode, here today.
The marathon was organized with an aim and objective to strengthen the bonds of Police Public relations as well as to channelize the energy of youth towards right direction.
A large number of people especially the students of different schools from all over the district participated with great zest and zeal.
The race was flagged off by Raja Adil Hamid, Additional SP Samba from Mansar Morh, Samba.  Sahil Choudhary emerged as the winner of the Marathon, while Pankaj and Rahul bagged the second and third positions respectively.
They were awarded with suitable prizes by the Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Anil Magotra.
The police had arranged transportation for the participants besides arranging the refreshment.
The locals of the area highly lauded the move undertaken by District Police Samba in organizing such events to instill zeal and enthusiasm among the young generation to perform better.
