SAMBA, Sept 8: Samba Police recovered a kidnapped girl from JDA quarters Nagrota and arrested her kidnapper.
Police said that a written complaint was received at P/S Samba from mother of the kidnapped girl residing at Mansar, Samba stating therein that her daughter namely Sofia (name changed) age 16 yrs was missing from home since 10.05.2018. Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No. 128/2018 U/S 363 RPC got registered at PS Samba and search was started to trace out the girl.
With continuous and strenuous effort, a police party from P/S Samba under the directives of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba and headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh, SHO P/S Samba under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba recovered the missing girl from the clutches of accused person namely Mohd Mumtaz, S/o Mohd Lateef R/o Dugga Kot, District Reasi presently residing at JDA Quarters Nagrota, Jammu. After completing legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents. The accused person has been arrested from the spot and further investigation is going on.
