SAMBA, May 2: District Police Samba today recovered a minor girl who was kidnapped and reunited her with parents at Police Station (PS), Samba.
Police said today a written report was lodged at PS Samba by one person, resident of Sarore, tehsil Bishnah, alleging therein that on April 23 his minor daughter went to relative’s house at Sumb, Samba and on April 25 she proceeded back for home but didn’t reach.
All efforts were made out by the family members but the whereabouts of the missing girl could not be ascertained.
Acting on the complaint, a missing report was registered at PS Samba and search was started to trace out the minor girl. During the course of preliminary investigation, it came to known that the girl has been kidnapped by an unknown person.
A case FIR No. 102/2022 U/S 363 IPC got registered at PS Samba and investigation started to trace out the kidnapped girl.
With continuous and strenuous efforts together with technical assistance, a police team of PS Samba recovered the kidnapped girl along with kidnapper from Haridwar (Uttarakhand). Both the recovered girl and the kidnapper were brought to Police Station Samba.
After completing all legal formalities, the recovered girl was handed over to her parents.
