Samba police works out snatching case in 4 days

SAMBA , July, 2: District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, has worked out a purse snatching case registered at Police Station (PS) Vijaypur within four days with the arrest of the snatcher and recovered snatched items.
Police said on June 27, a lady from Village Shahzadpur, tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba has reported a snatching case in which her purse containing Gold jewellery and mobile set was snatched by two unknown bike riders from near Government Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur. In this regard a case FIR No. 92/2022 U/S 382 IPC got registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a police team of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur, Inspector, Rajeev Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari after arduous efforts, developed some lead in the case and succeeded in the arrest of accused person namely Anil Singh, Balvinder Singh of village Mogla, tehsil Teryath, district Rajouri from district Reasi.
Police said on the disclosure of accused person, the snatched and stolen Gold jewellery including Mangal Sutra, ear tops and mobile set worth Rs 3 lakhs approximately were recovered. Further investigation is going on.
