JAMMU, Mar 25: Splendid all-round show by Sandeep Singh and superb batting display by Ranjit Bali and good contributions by Akshay Khajuria and Pardeep Bali helped Parade Sports Association (PSA) to script a resounding victory over Evershine Cricket Club in the ongoing Salute and Tribute to Siachen Martyrs T20 Veteran Tournament at Parade ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, PSA scored a decent total of 151 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ranjit Bali was the top scorer with 51 runs off 44 balls, studded with 6 delectable boundaries, while Pardeep Bali and Sandeep Singh (Sunny) contributed 32 and 27 runs to the total respectively. Sanjay Sharma also chipped in with 16 runs and Akshay Khajuria contributed 8 runs. For Evershine Cricket Club, Hardeep Singh took 3 wickets, while Danny and Madan claimed 2 and one wicket respectively.
In reply, Evershine Cricket Club managed to score 131 runs in 19.4 overs, thus lost the match by 20 runs. Mahadeep Singh and Parshotam contributed 44 and 39 runs to the total respectively, while no other batsman crossed the double figure mark. Sandeep Singh (Sunny) was the wrecker-in-chief for PSA, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding 18 runs in 3.4 overs, while Akshay Khajuria bagged 3 wickets in his 4 overs and Sanjay Sharma claimed one. Sandeep Singh was adjudged as man of the match for his magnificent all-round performance.
