Sandra Oh launches crowd funding campaign for animated film

LOS ANGELES, Oct 29:  ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Sandra Oh has launched a campaign on crowd funding site Indiegogo.Com for a new animated film.
The 43-year-old actress has teamed up with Canadian director Ann Marie Fleming on ‘Window Horses’, a movie which will centre on a young Canadian poet of Chinese-Persian descent who travels to Iran to perform at a poetry festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She will serve as the voice for lead character Rosie Ming and as a producer on the movie.
“I love that she’s of Chinese and Persian heritage. If we can’t get it (diversity) on TV, let’s get it on animation,” Oh said.
Oh and Fleming are currently working on the project and are now asking fans to contribute USD 130,000 for post-production costs.
“I have full faith that, when Ann Marie completes the animation part, I will be able to take that 80, 90 minute film and stick it in front of five, 10 people who will each write me a cheque,” she added. (PTI)
