JAMMU, Sept 27: Renowned international coach and player, Sanjeev Sharma has been selected as head coach of senior men team by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, here today.
Sanjeev Sharma, a former Test & ODI player, had played 89 first class matches. His coaching assignments include Rajasthan, Delhi, Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh. He has also been coach with National Cricket Academy for the five years as well as head coach of Thailand National team.
JKCA is not only concentrating on the physical conditioning but mentally conditioning of its players as well, for this internationally acclaimed trainer cum motivator Nishanta Bordoloi has been appointed as ‘Head High Performance Strength and Conditioning Coach’ of all teams of J&K.
As per the press release, issued by JKCA stated that presently the senior men team for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T/20) & senior women team for one day are undergoing training at Hostel Ground GGM Science College Jammu and Country Cricket Ground Gharota, respectively.
Member Administration JKCA Anil Gupta said that the senior women team is practicing at the Country Cricket Club Gharota under the watchful eyes of Surabhi Dadhecchi, chairperson, senior women selection committee and Roopali Slathia, Member Cricket Advisory Committee JKCA. The team is scheduled to depart for Kolkata on October 20.
“The phase-1 of the camp for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T/20 which involves fitness has begun today at JKCA Ground, here under the leadership of Nishanta Bordoloi,” he said.
