DODA, Mar 8: ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ in the disciplines of Volleyball and Kabaddi for under-17 boys, concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
Ravinder Thakur, president Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha was the chief guest who inaugurated today’s matches in presence of guests of honour, Councillor Gagandeep Rana and Kishori Lal Thakur (ZPEO).
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports for conducting competition in a well disciplined manner and make participation of the players from all the Wards of the Municipal Council.
The chief guest promised to provide Kabaddi mats for District level competition, scheduled to be held at Sports Stadium, here soon.
The tournament was organised by District Administration in collaboration with Department of Youth Services and Sports Doda wherein the team of Ward-13 and Ward-2 emerged winner and runner-up respectively in Kabaddi, while team of Ward-5 and Ward-16 remained winner and runner-up respectively in Volleyball.
The matches were officiated by Fayaz Ahmed, Ravinder Rana, Irshad Ahmed, Ifroz Hussain, Inayatullah, Touseef Faridi, Mamta Bhagat, Babita Rani, Babita Devi, Asha Devi, Abdul Haq, Bhanu Pratap, Jalil Ahmed, Vijay Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Saba Anjum.
