Sanskrit Week Celebrations conclude

JAMMU, Aug 22: Sanskrit Week Celebrations in connection with Shravan Poornima concluded at Kot Bhalwal, Jammu Campus of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, here today.
The valedictory function was presided over by Prof PN Shastri, while Padamshree Dr Ramakant Shukla was the chief guest, who delivered Prof V Raghavan Memorial lecture on the occasion.
Prof Rita Jitendra, former Principal GCW Parade and secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Dr Dhani Ram Shastri, former Director, Raghunath Sanskrit Research Library were felicitated for their contributions in preserving and propagating Sanskrit Language and Literature.
On the occasion, a number of students who had distinguished themselves in the various competitions held in connection with Sanskrit Week Celebrations were given prizes by the dignitaries on the occasion..
Earlier, the programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, which was followed by the Saraswati Vandana presented by the students.
Associate Prof Shander Chander Sharma presented welcome address earlier, while Prof Manoj Kumar Mishra presented vote of thanks.
