Sant Mela Singh College celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, May 11: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana celebrated its Annual Day with zeal and zest in the College premises, here today.
Mahant Manjit Singh Ji was the chief guest on the occasion.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries, which was followed by Sarswati Vandana.
Dr Kiran Luthra, Principal of the College presented the Annual Report, highlighting various curricular and co-curricular activities of the College conducted during the session.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students on the occasion, which enthralled the audience. The cultural items included Gidda, Dogri Dance, Kashmiri Dance, Rajasthani Folk Dance, Bangra and Solo Songs.
A book of Punjabi Short Stories ‘Baal Mann’ was released by the chief guest on the occasion.
The chief guest also distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams/players on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahant Manjit Singh Ji stressed upon the pupil teachers to uphold the moral values in social life. He also appreciated the efforts of the students for good performances.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by the Chairman of the College, Prof Anmol Singh.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Charanjeet Kour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Nater Singh, Dr S. PS Dutta, S. Prem Singh, Prof Hardev Singh, S. Bhopinder Singh, S. Nanak Singh, Prof Sarvan Singh and S. Hardeep Singh.
