JAMMU, Nov 3: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana organized display your talent programme, today.
The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp followed by recitation of Ganesh Vandana by the students. Colourful cultural items including Dogri poetry, Rajasthani fold dance, Dogri play, Punjabi bhangra and Punjabi fold dance, giddha, solo dance, hindi poetry and solo songs were presented by the students of the college.
The chairman of the college, Prof Anmol Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he lauded the efforts of the students and laid stress on discipline, devotion and dedication to the cause of education and said that teachers are the architects of the nation who have to give shape to the personality of coming generations.
Earlier, Principal of the college, Dr Kiran Luthra welcomed the guests and in her address she said that the role of teacher is to channelize the energy of the students in a constructive manner.
The items which were adjudged as first, second and third respectively by the judges were Punjabi giddha by Jasmine and group and Dogri play by Anuradha and group, Rajasthani dance by Ranjana and Hindi poetry by Sanjay Kumari and group song by Malvika and group and Dogri poetry by Babli Devi.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Prof Paramjeet Kour.
