JAMMU, Apr 6: Saptak Sangeet Niketan, an Institute of Music organized a colourful programme titled “Musical Evening” at Bikram Chowk, here today.
The budding artists of Niketan presented Geet, Ghazal, Classical and Light Music and the artists included Sooraj Sharma, Tarsem, Azad, Karan, Sunil, Sanjeev Sudan, Rajesh, Nisha Manhas, Ramandeep, Chetan, Sanjeev, Shiva, Aryan, Nikhil, Sham Ji, Neena, Dimple and Aarav.
Principal of the Niketan, Dharmesh Nargotra, a renowned ghazal singer presented welcome address, besides a classical raag jog which was applaud by the audience.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana.
Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Cultural Officer, State Academy of Art Culture and Languages J&K was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were M L Dogra, president Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Sansthan, Jammu; P N Pandita, president Prem Sangeet Niketan and Kusum Dhar, president, ATHWAS.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Arshi.
Tarsem Kumar, Cultural Secretary presented vote of thanks.
