SAMBA, Aug 20: The Sarpanches of different blocks of Samba today held a meeting and discussed various issues and problems faced at Panchayat level by the people.
A large number of Sarpanches of different blocks of Samba participated in the meeting and discussed various issues faced by them. They said that the people of rural areas are facing problems of issuance of the Domicile during the COVID period and demanded that the Domicile certificates should be issued on Panchayat level so that the people of far flung areas do not face problem.
They further said that the formalities of border certificates should be reduced so that it will be easily available to the people of border areas.
They also discussed the pending liabilities of Panchayats and demanded that the same should be released as early as possible. Moreover as per Government order, the square tiles are to be used in lanes and drains in Panchayats but the Sarpanches demand locking tiles because they were used before as they are very convenient and long lasting.
