Sarthak shines at MIT Appathon-2023

JAMMU, Sept 8: Sarthak Gupta, a student of Jodhamal Public School won the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) App Inventor Appathon 2023 in the People’s Choice Category.
The competition was hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the App Inventor Foundation witnessed participation from all over the world coming together to build apps with the power to change society.
Sarthak Gupta, a 10th standard student at Jodhamal Public School, built an AI-powered health app called ‘Swasthya’ for the Appathon. The application addresses the issue of mental health and wellbeing and contains numerous features such as GyanAI – An intelligent Chatbot with a brain in addition to emotion detection using computer vision. The same accentuates emergency SOS and even exerts tips including pedometer and Yoga. Swasthya also detects nearby medical stores and hospitals and executes community SOS.
The management, staff and the students celebrated Sarthak’s incredible accomplishment and appreciated him for winning and demonstrating to the world the innovative and visionary thinking of our students.
